Formal neurocognative testing provides information about functioning in a wide array of cognitive domains including attention, memory, language, intellectual functioning, motor and psycho-motoric functioning. Assessment of emotional functioning evaluates for symptoms of depression and anxiety. Participants are then referred to the appropriate clinical specialist to help treat their pain.

Personality Assessment
(619) 543-2827
Personality assessment is used to assist in differential diagnosis and treatment planning, providing both Axis I and Axis II diagnoses. Both self-report and abstract problem-solving tasks are used to provide information on how one solves novel problems in an everday environment. Information on emotional, as well as, interpersonal functioning is assessed.

Skilled Based Assessment
(619) 543-2827
Skill based assessment uses a combination of instruments that assess neurocognitive functioning, personality style, and work and school related interests. The individual's neurocognative strengths and weaknesses are determined. This information is then interpreted within the context of identified areas of occupational and academic interest to provide recommendations about goodness of fit and possible areas of remediation. This type of assessment can be helpful for individuals concerned about their job performance, those not performing up to optimum levels or who are interested in making career changes.

Workers Compensation Evaluation
(619) 543-2827

Data is obtained from a clinical interview, formal testing and record review. These evaluations allow for differential diagnosis and are helpful in making determinations aobut readiness to return to work, need for psychiatric and/or psychological treatment, and vocational rehabilitation and counseling. In addition, follow-up testing provides objective data on changes as a result of treatment and time, offering further assistance in making a determination about job readiness.
