| The UCSD Department of Psychiatry has a broad spectrum of outstanding clinical education and training programs which encompass and integrate the most current clinical innovations in the field. Over the past 32 years the OPS has served a unique multidisciplinary training function in the community. Approximately 40 trainees yearly spend the entire year at the OPS and are engaged in numerous training opportunities. Our patients receive state-of-the-art psychopharmacologic treatment by our residents and faculty. Many of UCSD’s full-time faculty, a “Who’s Who” of American psychiatry, provides close supervision and/or seminars for our residents.
UCSD OPS has also developed a reputation as an outstanding training center for all mental health disciplines. Its faculty and clinical staff provide intensive clinical training to individuals from the following programs:
