Biography
Dr. Yager has an appointment in the Department of Psychiatry as a Clinical Professor and is a Staff Psychologist for the UCSD Medical Group. Beginning in 1975, and continuing to the present, he has offered an annual elective course in the clinical applications of hypnosis and, since 1974, has been a Facilitator in the SBS series. Dr. Yager maintains an off-campus, private practice.
Research Focus
Dr. Yager is currently investigating the treatment of asthma by hypnotic techniques under a UCSD-approved protocol, HRPP Project #060018. This project is expected to be completed in 2007. Additionally, Dr. Yager has continuing involvement on ISP and dissertation committees that involve hypnosis as an investigated phenomenon.
