Biography
Dr. Lang received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of California Los Angeles. She completed a Pre- and Post-doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology at the University of California Sam Francisco before coming to UCSD in 1999.
Research Focus
Dr. Lang’s research primarily involves assessment of the health-related impact of anxiety and trauma and cognitive-behavioral intervention for emotional problems in medical patients.
Clinical Focus
Dr. Lang is responsible for the Behavioral Medicine Service at the VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS). This Service provides intervention for behaviors and psychological symptoms that have a negative impact on the health of primary care patients. Dr. Lang is also the VASDHS Military Sexual Trauma Coordinator.
