Traumatic Brain Injury

Traumatic Brain Injury or TBI can result from a number of types of head injuries. The majority of combat injuries sustained by OIF/OEF soldiers are caused by improvised explosive devices, blasts, landmines, and explosive fragments. These blast injuries result commonly in traumatic brain injury (TBI), which is defined as a blow or jolt to the head that disrupts brain function.
