One of the major strengths of UCSD's geriatric psychiatry fellowship program is the diversity of available clinical experiences. Our fellows receive training in a variety of settings that reflect the spectrum of geriatric psychiatric practice today. Rotations are reviewed on a regular basis to ensure optimal educational value and benefit for our fellows.

• Senior Behavioral Health Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry Unit - Hillcrest
• Senior Behavioral Health Clinics- La Jolla
• Geriatric Medicine - UC San Diego Medicine for Seniors Clinic
  • Provides a continuity clinic experience for participating fellows. This outpatient clinic, located in La Jolla, is solely devoted to the care of patients aged 65 and older and has six board-certified internists with sub-specialty certification (CAQ) in Geriatrics. This clinic provides primary care to patients, in addition to providing consults on medically complex patients.
