Our laboratory represents a collaboration among researchers interested in the cross-species studies of brain disorders, using translational and reverse-translational approaches. We have developed and validated measures of psychophysiological, exploratory, and cognitive functioning in laboratory animals that also have a homologous or parallel test in humans. The goal of TRIPEC is to create a laboratory environment where our innovative techniques can be combined with structural, biochemical and genetic approaches to help elucidate a better understanding of the basic mechanisms of brain functioning.
