UC San Diego Welsh-McCarthy Lab

Disrupted circadian rhythms are common in people afflicted by mood disorders, including bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder and seasonal affective disorder. The Welsh-McCarthy Lab studies cellular and molecular mechanisms of the circadian clock and its involvement in mood disorders. Members of the Welsh-McCarthy Lab come from a variety of scientific and clinical backgrounds and lend a diverse wealth of expertise to the pursuit of these studies.
